JP. Baldus

JP. Baldus is a German photographer and DoP whose work is shaped by a constant urge to explore. His roots lie in expedition photography, taking him on journeys through remote landscapes and into places far from the everyday.

The curiosity and sense of exploration behind those experiences still influence his commercial work today — particularly his fascination with movement, atmosphere and how people interact with the world around them. In recent years, his work has focused on automotive, combining photography and film across commercial productions for clients including Aston Martin, Alpine, Tesla and smart.

The north of Norway remains an important part of his life. During the summer months, JP. Baldus spends time in the Lofoten Islands, where he shares his passion for the ocean as an internationally certified sea kayak guide.

Back in Mainz, his own studio serves as a base and has become a creative hub for his team and an ever-growing network of creatives from the region.
